Glenwood serves as a shopping center in a widely diversified farming area.
Located on the eastern shore of Lake Minnewaska, the city of Glenwood has a population of approximately 2,600. It is 15 miles south of Interstate 94 on Highway 29.
Glenwood has been the county seat of Pope County since 1866. It is home to Barsness park, a 300 acre park with fully-equipped camp sites, four miles of hiking trails and many other recreational activities.
City residents utilize city utilities including water, sewer and garbage, billed monthly through City Hall.
